This session dives into the basics of geospatial data and accessible operations for data handling.   We also explore the realm of satellites and how to monitor and analyze their data with optical remote sensing procedures. We base our work on open-source software Quantum GIS for the delivery of this workshop which participants can access free of charge. This is a quick brush-up course that will get you at a baseline level of what geo and satellites are all about!
