Press Release: Space4Good and Japanese Space Tech Accelerator Forge Strategic Partnership

Bremen/ The Hague / Tokyo – Space Tech Accelerator (STA) and Space4Good (S4G) have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday, November 19th, during the Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen, to launch a strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating the adoption of satellite-powered solutions across supply chains in Southeast Asia.

Collaborating to scale satellite intelligence across supply chains

The partnership aligns STA’s mission of bringing cutting-edge space technologies into mainstream industry applications with Space4Good’s expertise in satellite Earth Observation (EO), geospatial analytics, and AI-powered monitoring systems.

Together, the organisations will focus on expanding EO-based solutions that increase transparency, traceability, and risk management across supply chains in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand; regions where agricultural, forestry, and commodity-related supply chains face increasing regulatory, climate, and market pressures.

Collaboration areas

The partnership will focus on four key areas:

●       Joint pilot projects for supply-chain risk assessment, including deforestation alerts, fire and disease detection, smallholder analytics, and responsible sourcing verification.

●       API-level integration of Space4Good’s analytics into STA’s platforms for smallholder engagement, supply-chain mapping, and sustainability reporting.

●       Market development and partnerships with corporates, government programmes, and NGOs across key Asian markets.

●       Capacity building and knowledge exchange, enabling companies and public-sector actors to adopt satellite intelligence effectively and responsibly.

Why this matters for business and the environment

Many companies struggle to monitor and validate sustainability commitments across complex, multi-tiered supply chains. Satellite-based data, ranging from forest-loss detection to insights into smallholder activities, can help organisations bridge information gaps, comply with emerging regulations, and build trust with consumers and stakeholders.

This partnership aims to make those technologies more accessible and seamlessly integrated into day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on Southeast Asia, a region with significant opportunities for both businesses and positive environmental impact.

“Satellite intelligence is becoming essential for resilient and sustainable supply chains. By partnering with Space4Good, we will accelerate the deployment of practical, scalable solutions for our partners across Asia.” — Genki Hiraga, CEO, Space Tech Accelerator

“Space4Good is excited to combine forces with STA to bring geospatial analytics directly into the workflows of companies and smallholders who need them most. Together we will turn complex global supply chains into more transparent, responsible, and data-driven systems.” — Arthur van der Meer, Commercial Director, Space4Good
